Not so long ago the traditional career advice was to a good college degree; that in turn would lead to a good job, a great salary and maybe a lifetime pension. Traditionally our parents held their job for years and only retiring to enjoy their pension.

While this advice might be true for many, it’s certainly not true for me. Life is a series of experiences, sounds clichéd, yes, but true. Although I followed the traditional career path of going to college, getting graduate and professional degrees (including lots of incidental licenses in between) I still felt something was missing. I wanted to earn a living but I wanted to do it while having fun, being independent, travelling and learning.

I was introduced to Internet Marketing. A world of education & marketing that was unknown to me. First of all, it was unbelievable that I could feel so energized and enthused about learning again. I began to amass friends from all over the world, I had to learn how to “drive this new 21st century o n-line vehicle” and learn new words like traffic, affiliates, marketing and conversions and you know what I loved it. I love to learn and I love to share.

My business was growing and I felt loved and supported in a community of like minded people. Until it was no more!

The founder had made decisions that none of us could see was coming and after a while the joy and energy in continuing in the business was no more. I simply stopped.

My website was set up to chart my success and share tips and tricks along the way but I simply let that go and did not update it. Soon someone found a reason to “hack” it. I had no idea until I received a call to check my website.

So today, I jumped on line to see if I could resolve it. As a spiritual person it saddened me to think that someone could be harmed by anything I had put out there.

My website wealthcreationvi or colleenslifestyle.com is supposed to be a creative space, a space where we can begin new and exciting ventures using spiritual principles to create peace, harmony and balance. It’s not about creating money but holistic wealth so that we can live the life of our dreams.

So lets see if I can begin again and revive something I once loved.
